| What Is It? | Old Film Cafe
This is a wonderful cafe, the ambiance is unique with photos of 1920's Chinese film stars adorning the walls and many books and interesting nick knacks around the place. They have comfy chairs that you can sink into. Check out the upstairs room it is like a lighthouse with a good view over the roofs. Apparently they screen old films(?Chinese) in the evenings but you need to ring for times. The snacks are basic but adequate. |

| What Is It? | This is worth a visit, set in wonderful grounds with amazing heroic sculptures this cemetery commemorates the deaths of hundreds of local Communists over many ears of war. The memorial hall has a lot of interesting information. It is one of those unexpected places in Shanghai that has the wow factor despite the actual place having a grim history. It is a peaceful place to be. |
