Enjoy an escape from the city and spend the day in nature! Hengsha Island is famously known as the longevity eco-island. It is a clean and quiet place that has no industry. With tree coverage over at least 70% and orchards everywhere, it is a tremendous joy to cycle on this charming island.

We will take the bus from Shanghai for 1.5 hours to Changxing Island and then a short ferry ride to Hengsha. Once we get to the island, we will choose our bikes and cycle for 1 hour to a nice restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we will bike along the coastline where we will see the wetlands with birds and buffalos. After that, we will bike to a few villages where farmers' houses are encircled with beautiful flowers and vegetables. Finally, we will go to an orchard to pick oranges.

Cycling distance is around 30km in total, and it is easy cycling as the island is mostly level. However, we will have a support vehicle, so if there is anyone who doesn't wish to pedal they can take a rest. We hope you will join in this beautiful excursion!
